Annie Pearl Winham, age 86, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2017 surrounded by her children at Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Rev. James Gordon officiating. Burial will follow at Meridian Memorial Park with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Pearl is survived by her sister, Shirley Horn and husband Clyde. She leaves behind six children, James Booth and wife Betty, Mae Harrell and husband Pete, Howard Earl Winham and companion Jewel, Terry Winham and wife Jennette, Sheila Creel and husband Dale, Linda Emons and husband Russell. She leaves behind thirteen grandchildren, Greg Beard, Michelle Quick and husband Brent, Jonathan Booth, Justus Booth and wife Robin, Traci Winham and husband Mike Brewer, Kimberly Baker, Allen Winham and wife Stacy, Jessica Reynolds and husband Justin, Erik Winham and wife Brittany, Jeremy Creel and wife Sarah, Kalyn Thompson and husband Tyler, Annalise Emons, and Amelia Emons. She was blessed with 13 beautiful great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years Howard, her mother Susie Ella Leach, and her sister Emma Rene Beckham.
A dedicated mother of six, Pearl was an excellent cook and took pleasure in preparing wonderful meals for her family. She will be fondly remembered for her homemade biscuits and chocolate cakes. She enjoyed country music, fishing, gardening, and canning fruits and vegetables. Pearl relished the simple things in life and cherished spending time with her large family.
Pearl proudly worked for 29 years at Northeast Lauderdale School as a bus driver, and for many years she enjoyed cooking at the Northeast Elementary cafeteria.
She was a devoted wife to Howard Winham who was the love of her life.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
