Service for Bill Jowers will be held Friday, August 4, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home, with Dr. John Temple and Jack Kern officiating. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Jowers, age 86, of Meridian, passed away July 30, 2017.
He was a successful business man and founder of the Jo-Pa Company of Virginia. Bill was a veteran of the Navy, serving in the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion for over 50 years, serving twice as Commander and also 13th district Commander. He was also a 32nd Degree Shriner and Mason.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Lee; children, Vickie (Steve), Ronnie, Steve (Tammy), and Tracy; grandchildren, Lesley, Robin, Stephanie, and Travis; great grandchildren, Bennett and Alice; two sisters and two brothers; numerous nieces and nephews; and his faithful neighbor, Ronnie Brown.

The family requests memorials be made to the Shriners Childrens Hospital or Poplar Springs Drive Baptist Church.
