Bobby Joe Jones

Mr. Bobby Joe Jones, 74, a native of Meridian, Miss., of 133 Cary Lane, Washington, Ga. entered into rest on Thursday, Jan. 31, 2019, at his residence.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2019, at 2 p.m. at Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens, Thomson.
Mr. Jones was the son of the late Robert and Pauline Foreman Jones Williamson. He had retired from Meridian Machine Works as a machinist and welder. Also, he was a member of Lauderdale Baptist Church, the East Mississippi Sportsman's Association and was an avid deer hunter. In addition to his parents, his brother, Wayne Jones, preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Peggy Dearman Jones; son, Tim Jones and wife Leigh of Navarre, Fla.; daughter, Cathryn J. Fant and husband Chris of Washington; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; special cousin, Barbara Kicker of Meridian, Miss.
