Charles Leon Jolly


Funeral services for Mr. Charles Leon Jolly will be held on Friday, January 25, 2019 at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Lannis May officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Mr. Jolly, age 93, of Meridian, Mississippi passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at The University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi.
Mr. Jolly served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Maloy from 1942-1944 during World War II and worked for the Federal Aviation Administration at Key Field in Meridian for over thirty-three years.
He was raised in Lauderdale County and lived in Meridian and Lauderdale County for most of his life. Mr. Jolly was a member of Andrew Chapel United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mae Jolly; his parents, Richard Irving and Myrtie Harper Jolly; and his brother Murray Jolly.
He is survived by his children, Richard Jolly of Meridian, Jimmy Jolly of Pinola, MS, Timothy Jolly of Wilmington, NC, and Larry Jolly of Jackson, MS; a sister, Bonnie Jean McWilliams of Daleville, MS; a brother, Donald Jolly of LaGrange, GA; grandchildren, Jeremy Jolly and April Leist (Zack); great-grandchildren, Tyler, Dalton, and Zevin; numerous nieces and nephews; step children, Alva J. Kennedy, III Jim and Linda Waterloo (Charles); and step-grandchildren, Charles Trey Waterloo, III (Emily), Kristi Waterloo Clark (Andy), Doug Kennedy (Maddie), Julie Maxwell (Timothy), Michael Kennedy, Greg Kennedy, and Karen Kennedy.
