Mr. Bozeman, 88, of Meridian, was carried by angels to his heavenly home, Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at his residence.
Clewis was born April 23, 1931 in Kemper County, MS to John Tildon and Betty Hendon Bozeman. He was raised on a farm and was taught at an early age the value of hard work and he carried that with him throughout his life. He worked for GM&O railroad as a conductor for 35 years until his retirement. He married Terry Mae Williams on December 28, 1951. They raised three children; daughters Darlene, Donna and son Clewis, Jr. Clewis was a hard worker; he loved being outdoors, building and repairing most anything. He enjoyed thinking of unique ideas to build things for his yard and loved putting out all of his Christmas decorations, making his yard a showplace. He enjoyed cooking, especially at Christmas, for his family and loved family camping vacations where many memories were made. He contracted and sold numerous homes in Meridian. Mr. Bozeman loved his four legged companion, Titus, who was always by his side; but most of all he was a man of faith, and loved his Lord and Savior more than anything, and shared his faith with all he was around. He remained strong throughout his illness and was a witness to many doctors and nurses with his positive attitude. He will always be remembered as a hard worker and provider; a real trooper and will always be our hero.
Mr. Bozeman is survived by his wife, Terry Mae, of 67 years; daughters, Darlene Rivers (Lester), Donna Smith (Curtis) and son, Clewis Bozeman, Jr. Grandchildren, Joshua Smith, Baylon Reeves (Jake), Stacey Thomas; six great-grandchildren, Matti, Sawyer, Luke, Keely, Katelyn, and Chandler. One sister, Jenna Louise Weathers, sister in law, Lavern Harmon, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
C.P. is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John C. Bozeman, R.L. Bozeman; sisters, Blanche Duncan, Bertha Beason, Betty Lois Swanner, and Cora Lee Lakin.
