Dalton Ira Williams, 78, of Quitman, passed away on Dec. 23, 2017, at his residence.
He was born on Sept. 6, 1939, to Odell and Norma (Ward) Williams in Stonewall.
He served in the United States Air Force where he was stationed in Tokyo, Japan. He retired from the Air National Guard. He was a lifelong member of Mont Rose Baptist Church and served as the Young Men's Sunday School Teacher.
Ira is survived by his wife Ardenia Williams; two sons, Norman (Jammy) Williams, and Pat (Laurie) Williams; daughter, Nicki Williams (Ricky) Burney; three granddaughters, Skye Williams, Madison Williams, and Katie Williams, two grandsons, Dalton Williams and Dylan Williams.
He was preceded in death by his parents Odell Williams and Norma Williams, and a sister, Hellon Joyce Williams.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2017, 10:30 a.m. at Wright's Funeral Home, Quitman.?
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2017, 2 p.m. at the Mont Rose Baptist Church.
Burial will take place in the Williams Family Cemetery.
