Funeral services for Ms. Dorothy "Dot" Rawls will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2019, at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Marcus Linton officiating. Interment will follow at Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
Ms. Rawls, 89, of Meridian passed away Monday, April 8, 2019, at Rush Foundation Hospital of Meridian.
Ms. Rawls and her late husband, Robert, were owners of The Bible Bookstore of Meridian for over 16 years. Ms. Dot was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was lovingly known as Mawmaw by her two grandboys who she fiercely loved and adored. She was funny and always had a smile no matter the circumstance. When someone would tell her they loved her, she would always respond "I love you more."
Ms. Dot is survived by her daughter Rhonda Moore (Vance); grandsons, Crawford and Christian Moore; sisters, Leaverne Culpepper (Raymond), Sarah Curry; brother, Frankie Crawford (Carolyn); sisters-in-law, Diane Crawford, Grace Crawford, Martha Gower as well as a host of nieces and nephews and friends.
Ms. Rawls is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Robert Oliver "Bob"; son, Bobby Rawls, parents Ernest and Irene Crawford; brothers, Ernest "Buddy" Crawford, Eugene "Jack" Crawford and Wayne Crawford.
The family would like to express special thanks to Vickie Sawyer who attended to Ms. Rawls with much love and devotion as well as the nursing staff of Rush 4 North for their excellent care.
