Grace Gamble Lee

Celebrational graveside memorial services for Allie Grace Gamble Lee will be held Saturday, April 20, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at Goodwater Baptist Church Cemetery, 4986 Goodwater Road, Enterprise, Mississippi with Dr. Danny Lanier officiating.
Mrs. Grace Lee, age 89, of Enterprise, Mississippi, passed from this life into the presence of Jesus Christ her Savior on April 9, 2019 at East Texas Hospice Center in Tyler, Texas.
She was born May 20, 1929 in Baldwyn, Mississippi. She was raised during the depression on a dairy farm near Baldwyn. She learned to work hard, make the most of what she had, and developed a strong trust in God. She imparted that trust in God to her children and grandchildren as well as to the many children that passed through her classroom during her teaching years at Enterprise Elementary School. Grace lived her life modeling Christ and teaching others about Jesus. Scripture states in John 14:6, "Jesus said, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, except through ME.'" Her love for Christ was evident in all aspects of her life. Grace Lee's life was not always easy. There were many hills and valleys to walk through. But one thing was always constant - God was always faithful and His faithfulness to her always saw her through to the other side. Grace clung to Him, she abided in Him, she confided in Him about each and everything she was to walk through. She lived her life for His glory and His purposes.
Grace Lee is survived by her son, Brad Lee (Mary Jo) of Collinsville, MS; two daughters, Deborah Lee Johnson (Chris) of White House, TX and Sue Lee McCraney (Joe) of Meridian, MS; six grandchildren, Tavia Lee Curtis (Tommy), Brandon Johnson (Sarah), Lauren Johnson Nicholson (Laquett), Lee McCraney, Chase McCraney, and Laura Caroline McCraney; four great-grandchildren, Jordan Curtis, London Johnson, Jaiven Nicholson, and Kyler Nicholson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bob" Lee, whom she married in 1952. They were faithful and loyal to each other until his passing in 2008. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Mr. James F. "Jim" and Alta Gamble, and nine siblings.
In celebration of Grace's life, memorial contributions may be shared with: Blue Mountain college, P.O. Box 160, Blue Mountain, MS 38610. Grace was the only child in her family of ten siblings to go to college. She graduated from BMC Class of 1951 with a degree in English and Biblical studies.
The family cordially invites all former students, fellow teachers, former administration, as well as friends and family to the graveside celebration service on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at Goodwater Baptist Church in Lauderdale County, 4986 Goodwater Road, Enterprise, MS.
