Jaunita Isabelle Price, 92, died Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at Brookdale, Meridian. A private memorial will be held at a later date for Mrs. Price as she donated her body to science.
She was born May 2, 1925, in Montrose, La. to William Edward and Effie Estelle Smith.
Nita was known as a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to all who were graced with her being in their lives. Her family was her most precious and deeply loved treasure. She loved to share her wonderful life stories and was so full of wit and humor.
Survivors include her sisters, Tommie Jean Kilgore of Meridian, and Joan Toler of Durant, Okla.; sons Roy B. Price III (Carol) of Tyler, Texas, and Charles L. Price (Shirley) of Melbourne, Fla.; six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, one great-grandson and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy B. Price Jr.; daughter Frances J. Price; parents, William Edward and Effie Estelle Smith; and sisters, Helen Blair, Odessa Lindsey, Peggy King; brothers, Truman Fleming Smith, and William Edward Smith Jr.
