MGYSGT Thomas Lee Beeman, USMC retired


Graveside Services for MGYSGT Thomas Lee Beeman, USMC began at 2:00 pm Monday, July 22, 2019 at The Mississippi Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Newton with Fr. Augustine Palimattam officiating. Interment followed with Military Honors. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home was honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
Mr. Beeman, 85, of Meridian passed away Friday, July 19, 2019 at Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Thomas was retired as a Master Gunnery Sergeant in the United States Marine Corp after 25 years. He was a Marine through and through. While on active duty in the Marine Corp, and the Knights of Columbus Council 802 he was the recipient of numerous awards. Mr. Thomas was very active in the Catholic community attending both St. Patrick's and St. Joseph's for weekly mass; he will be remembered for his generosity and kindness towards all. Mr. Beeman was also an avid outdoorsman who had a passion for fishing; he also was a wonderful cook who also enjoyed good cuisine.
Mr. Beeman is survived by his niece; Sharon Arias; nephew, Marvin J. Bailey; cousin, Billy Jones, close friends, Otto and Inez Storr, Roland Stewart, Sue Blier, Teresa LaBiche, Debbie and Darrell Hover, Sherry Graupman, Marie Bailey, Dot Durapau, and Regina and Richard Moody.
Mr. Beeman is preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Theresia Eitelhuber Beeman; parents, Mr.John Cooper Beeman and Mrs. Catherine; brothers, Frank, John, Glen; and sister, Catherine Bailey.
Pallbearers will be the Knights of Columbus Council 802.
In lieu of flowers Mr. Beeman requested memorials be made to the priest education fund handled through The Knights of Columbus, council 802.
