Funeral services for Mrs. Ola Grace Edney Ferguson will begin at 11:30 a.m. Monday, May 14, 2018 at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Null and Rev. David Chandler officiating. Interment will follow at Meridian Memorial Park with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Ferguson, 96, of Meridian, passed away, Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Anderson Regional Medical Center of Meridian.
Grace was a graduated with honors from Meridian High School class of 1939. She was also a member of First Assembly Meridian and was a member of the Loyal Workers Sunday School class and Seniors Group in the church. She was retired stenographer of South Central Bell with 40 years of service and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. She was avid traveler and also enjoyed reading crocheting, volunteer work, Southern Gospel music and playing dominos and cards.
Survivors include her daughters-in-law, Pamela Ferguson, and Beverly Ferguson; grandchildren, Todd Ferguson, G. G. Fergusson, Richard Ferguson II, Jonathan Ferguson, Toya Ferguson-Gayle, Felecia Crumpton, Kimberly Ferguson, and eight great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John P. Ferguson, step-son, Byron Ferguson; sons, Richard John Ferguson, and Bruce Wayne Ferguson, as well as her parents Woodville and Ollie Carmichael Ferguson as well as her three sisters and six brothers.
Memorials may be given to the building fund of First Assembly of God Meridian in lieu of flowers.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 until service time at the funeral home prior to services.
