Mr. Myers, age 75, of Lauderdale, passed away Monday, January 15, 2018 at his home.
Bob was a veteran of the United States Navy. He and his father co-owned The Virginia Restaurant in Meridian for many years. He was passionate about horses and made a career for himself as a farrier. He was very talented and sought after by many famous thoroughbred owners. Bob even owned his own thoroughbred farm. Due to his love for motorcycles, he purchased Meridian Yamaha where he taught his boys how to work hard and play harder! He wasnt one to be idle. While recovering from a near fatal car accident, he learned how to make custom knives. This became a passion in his later years. Bob had many hobbies and passions throughout his life, however his greatest joy was always being with and providing for his family. He loved his family more than words could express and he will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Myers; sons, Bobby Myers and Tim Myers (Angela); daughter, Amy Myers; stepsons, Dennis Galley, Ken Mabe and David Galley (Vanessa); stepdaughter, Shondell Galley; grandchildren, Michael Smith (Beth), Tyler Myers, Bob Myers, Hunter Myers, Harley Lee (Whitt) Myers, Hayden Myers, Lacie Schmick and Zoe Galley; great granddaughter, Penelope Smith; brother, Ronnie Myers (Bonnie); sister, Dawn Wolf (Tom); brother-in-law, Ray Bednarczyk; and numerous nieces and nephews.
