Funeral services for Mr. Russell Booker will be held Friday, August 25, at 10 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home, with Dr. Raymon Leake officiating. Burial will be at Magnolia Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Booker, age 73, of Collinsville passed away Tuesday, August 22 at his residence.
Mr. Booker attended school in Stonewall, Mississippi. He retired after working for General Motors for twenty-eight years. He loved to ride his bike, work in the yard and spend time with his grandchildren and his beloved dog, Maggie. He was well known in his community as the neighborhood watchman. He never met a stranger.
Survivors include his wife of fifty years, Janet Pierce Booker; children, Teresa (Zane) Neal, Dusty (Casey) Booker, and Neal (Chelse) Booker; grandchildren, Erin (Donnie) Cooley, Casey Neal, Emmy and Sophie Booker, Jacob and Kayla Feist, Blake, Brendan, and Trace Booker; great-grandson, Nathan Cooley; siblings, Theresa (Kenny) Snowden and Richard Booker; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lamar and Bessie Booker; sister, Patricia White; and his brother, Ronnie Booker.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Blake, Brendan and Trace Booker, Casey Neal, Jacob Feist, and his nephews, Devin Snowden, and Brian White.
