Elizabeth Clearman Beemon passed peacefully into Heaven on March 20, 2017 surrounded by loving family.
She was born June 5, 1931 in Meridian and grew up in Duffee, Mississippi daughter of Floyd and Ina Clearman. She graduated from Collinsville High School and attended East Central Junior College, Mississippi State Meridian Campus, and Yuba College in California.
She was the devoted wife of Harry E Beemon and followed him across the ocean and the U.S.A. as a proud Air Force wife. She was a faithful member of the Primitive Baptist Church. She was a kind, loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She had an adventurous spirit.
She is survived by her son, Tim Beemon and his wife, Dotty and their children, Elizabeth Williams, who selflessly cared for her the past two years, and Jill Basham and her husband, Rob and their children, Walker and Abigail. Also her daughter, Sonja Cunningham of Hampden, Maine and her husband Barry and their children, Erin McKenzie and Stacy Cunningham and great grandchildren, Gabe and Conner McKenzie and Cash Lee. Also by loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry E. Beemon and infant son, Perry, her sisters, Lucille Kilpatrick, Maxine Roe and Hazel Ethridge, brothers, Aubrey and Elbert Clearman.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 22, 2017 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Union Primitive Baptist Church in Chunky, Mississippi, with elder Mickey Meyers officiating. Burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery in Duffee, Mississippi with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. All are welcome to attend and celebrate the life of this beloved and honorable Christian woman.
