Mr. Dolphus's Story
Funeral services for Dolphus L. Doc Davis will be held Friday September 1, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Pleasant Ridge United Methodist Church, with Reverend Mike Vick officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Ridge United Methodist Church Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Davis, age 88, of Collinsville passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Davis was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was in the Korean Conflict. He retired from Owens Corning and was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, and gardening.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Gloria W. Davis; daughter, Debbie Vick, husband Mike; son, Mickey Davis; daughter, Jeanna Davis; grandchildren, Ashley Wilson, husband Curtis, Hillary Storey, husband Chris, Allison Shumate, Jason Vick, Kaylei Neal; greatgrandchildren, Madison Storey, Christopher Storey, Hunter Wilson, and Haley Wilson; sister, Helen Ethridge; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Ava Davis; brothers, Fred Davis, Herman Davis, Jimmie Davis, and Jessie Davis; sister, Frankie Davis, and Doris Davis.
Pallbearers will be Larry Davidson, Mark Bishop, Chris Storey, Curtis Wilson, Billy Spurlock, Kyron Crenshaw, and Richard Crenshaw. Honorary pallbearers will be Freeman Powell, and Bobby Blackwell.

Visitation will be held Friday, September 1 from 10:00 a.m. till 11:00 a.m. at the Pleasant Ridge United Methodist Church.
