Thomas Calvin Kynerd
Funeral services for Mr. Thomas Tom Kynerd will be held, Tuesday, September 26, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home, with Reverend Sephus Garrett and Reverend Hollis Warren officiating. Burial will be held at Damascus Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Kynerd, age 91, of Suqualena passed away, Friday, September 22, at TLC 3 in Walnut Grove, Mississippi.
He was a long time Mercedes master mechanic for Gil Carmichael at the Carriage House in Meridian. Later, he operated his own shop at his residence. Mr. Kynerd loved to talk with his customers. He was a veteran of World War II. Mr. Kynerd adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mr. Kynerd was an active member of Damascus Free Will Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon for many years. He will be remembered as a faithful Christian man.
Survivors include his daughters, Patricia (Dave) Thomas and Regina (Danny) Smith; grandchildren, Stephen Smith, Darrell Wayne (Kaycie) Thomas, Bradley Shane (Amber) Thomas; great-grandchildren, Zack Thomas, Ty Thomas, Alannah Smith, Lorna Brooke Smith, and Corey Wade; two sisters; and one brother.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Sylvia J. Kynerd; his parents; and several siblings.

Pallbearers will be Dave Thomas, Darrell Thomas, Zack Thomas, Brad Thomas, Danny Smith, and Stephen Smith.
Visitation will be held Monday, September 25, 2017 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home.
