Alana Hemming Wann
Alana Hemming Wann "Lanny" was born in Meridian, Miss. on Feb. 15, 1947, and graduated from Meridian High School in 1965. She later moved to Pearl, Miss., where she was an avid animal lover and was involved with the Episcopal Church.
Mrs. Wann was preceded in death by her parents Cliff William and Ann M. McDuffie Hemming; a brother, Cliff Hemming Jr.; and a sister, Julie Dobson.
She is survived by two children: a daughter, Wendy (Jay) Montgomery, Albany, Ga.; and a son, Dabney (Tonya) Wuestefeld, Pelahatchie, Miss.; five grandchildren: Mary Landon Montgomery, Statesboro, Ga., Emily Montgomery, Albany, Ga., Reid Wuestefeld, Starkville, Miss., Trent and Lawson Wuestefeld, Pelahatchie, Miss.
In lieu of flowers, those desiring, may send memorials to St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 1116 23rd Avenue, Meridian, MS 39301 or Mississippi Animal Rescue League, 5221 Greenway Dr. Exd., Jackson, MS 39204.
A private family service will be held in Brandon on Saturday.
