Porterville, MS - Bolie Clifford Puckett Jr., 87 Passed away peacefully at his home in Porterville, MS. on August 24, 2025. Just a few feet from where he was born on November 6, 1937 to Bolie Puckett Sr. and Mari Ella Puckett.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years Jerrie "Dot" Miller Puckett and 2 Children, Clifford Puckett (Pam) and Melanie Puckett Stokes (Doug).

Grandchildren: Bolie Douglas Stokes (Carly), Faith Stokes Eakes (Cody), Nathanael Puckett (Natilie), and Hannah Puckett Hancock (Joe). Great-grandchildren: Lane Jerrie Hancock, Kallie Rose Eakes, and Beckett Hughes. Brother: Harry Puckett of Madison, MS. Sisters: Mari Foster (Eddie) of Water Valley, MS, and Linda Hathcock (George) of Tacoma, WA. Sister-in-law: Kate Puckett of Porterville, MS. Also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, Bolie C. Puckett Sr. and Mari Ella Boren Puckett, as well as his brother, Carrol Puckett.

He held the rank of Staff Sergeant in Company D, 1st Medium Tank Battalion, 198th Armored Regiment, within the Mississippi Army National Guard.

He served as a Journeyman Electrician with IBEW. During his career, he earned multiple certificates of accomplishments. He served as president several terms for IAMAW with Lockeed Martin in Meridian. His work included projects throughout the Southeast, such as installing Otis Elevators in the 1950s and contributing to the construction of the John C. Stennis Space Center—NASA's primary Rocket Propulsion Test Facility in Mississippi, which is the largest of its kind in the nation. Upon returning to Kemper County, he joined Lockheed Martin in Meridian, MS, where he held management positions and ultimately retired after 28 years of service.

He was best known for leading the Bluegrass band "Bolie Puckett and the Gospel Revelations," with whom he toured multiple states performing Bluegrass Gospel music. Out of all of his accomplishments and gifts he was most passionate about playing his guitar and singing for the Lord.

Bolie was a vital part of Harvestime/Cross Mountain being established. God used his talents to contribute to this ministry and he devoted many hours to it's completion.

A celebration of life for Bolie Puckett will be held at Cross Mountain Ministries on Saturday August 30, 2025. Visitation will begin at 10am followed by the service at 12 noon. He will be laid to rest at Harvestime Church Cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Cross Mountain Ministries, 6215 Townsend Rd, Porterville, MS 39352.
