Meridian, MS - Donald Franklin Pringle, aged 88, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2025. Born on November 2, 1936 in Belleville, Ontario, Canada to Frank and Marguerite Pringle, Don graduated from Queens University Medical School in 1963. He practiced family medicine in Lachine, Quebec for 14 years before moving to Meridian, Mississippi in 1979, where he continued his medical career at Rush Hospital until his retirement in 1999.
Don cherished summers at his beloved farm in the Eastern Townships of Quebec. He was an avid supporter of the Ole Miss Rebels, holding season tickets for football and baseball, and he enjoyed traveling the world with his wife, Beverly. A frustrated carpenter, Don found joy in home renovations and gardening.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly; sons, Steve Pringle (Amy Vetter) and Scott Pringle (Melissa Gordon Pringle); and grandchildren, Sarah Pringle Buchanan (William), Margaret Pringle, Jack Pringle, and Gracie Pringle.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Marguerite Pringle, and sister, Dorothy Pringle Locke. A private memorial service will be held with family at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Meridian, Mississippi. In lieu of flowers, donations in Don's memory can be made to the Episcopal Relief and Development or St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Don's legacy of dedication to his family, his profession, and his passions will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
