Services celebrating the life of Mrs. Doris Hurtt Wilson will begin at 4:30 PM Thursday, January 30, 2025, at Arkadelphia Baptist Church with Bro. Keith Lovett and Coach John Mason officiating. Interment will be held at a later date. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mrs. Wilson, 86, of Bailey, died Friday, January 24, 2025, at Bedford Care Center of Marion, MS.

Doris was first and foremost a Christian. She was a devoted follower of Christ and loved serving at Arkadelphia Baptist Church. She loved ministering to children by teaching Sunday School for many years and loved to be around children. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother who always doted over her family. She loved being outdoors and gardening and bird watching, Doris especially loved lilies. She also enjoyed sharing her gifts of sewing by making many baby dolls through the years. Doris will be remembered as a generous lady, always putting others ahead of herself.

Mrs. Wilson is survived by her husband of over 66 years, Charles L. "Charlie" Wilson; her children, Alan Wilson (Peggy C.) and John Wilson (Jo Ellen); grandchildren, Brent Wilson and Lucas Wilson; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members; as well as her special friends, Daniel, Melinda, and Taylor Thoms.

Mrs. Doris is preceded in death by her parents, Elv and Eva Hurtt; siblings, Zola Dollar, Irene Dearman, Joyce King, Jack Hurtt, Mary Bryant, Purnell Hurtt, and Vernon Hurtt.

The Wilson Family suggests memorials be made as donations to Arkadelphia Baptist Church in lieu of flowers.
