Funeral services for Mrs. Gail Bowles Woodard will be Friday, January 24, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Rev. Brian Woodard officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mrs. Gail Bowles Woodard, age 87, of Meridian, MS, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at her home.

Gail was a loving mother to her family, and she showed that love in many ways. She was a wonderful seamstress, and she made many costumes, clothes, wedding dressings, and bridesmaids dresses. She loved to vacation at the beach with her family. Her hobbies included arts and crafts, fishing, watching dirt track racing, baking, and cooking. Her house was open to all for dinner, and it was the gathering place for all of her "yard kids". When she started cooking the house started filling up with people ready to eat. She was loved by all who knew her.

She is survived by her children; Kathy Burnside, Robert "Red" A. Woodard, Cindy Ricks (Brian), and Stephen Woodard (Crystal), grandchildren; Andy Burnside, Amanda Burnside, Brian Woodard (Meredith), Sophia Bosque, Breanna Turner (Riley), Allen Woodard (Kayla), Jeremy Woodard, Zach Woodard, Shelby Woodard, Sarah Beth Armstrong, Christen Woodard, Dustin Whitt, Justin Woodard, and Adrian Woodard, and great-grandchildren; Jacob, Isaiah, Lilah, Ayden, Peyton, Barrett, Conner, Isabella, and Gavin, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Woodard, son, Rex E. Woodard, parents, Lee and Alma Bowles, siblings, Joanne Beasley, Sybil Robertson, and Lee Bowles.
