Daleville, MS - Funeral services for Mr. George Allen Rawson will begin at 2:30 PM Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at Blackwater Baptist Church with the Reverends Sean Burleson and Dennis Robinson officiating. Interment will follow graveside rites in the church cemetery. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mr. Rawson, 72, Friday, June 13, 2025, at Baptist Anderson Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.

George was a Christian first and foremost; He was a devoted and faithful follower of God. George was a deacon and faithful member of Blackwater Baptist Church. A true servant at heart, George was always there to help anyone in need, from using his tractor and power tools to helping with carpentry and electrical work, there was never a need too large or too small. George was a loving and faithful husband and father. He was the former owner and operator of Rawson Construction for many years; he went on to work in the Oil Refinery Construction Industry where he was a supervisor. He never met a stranger and always enjoyed sharing his sense of humor with everyone he met.

George is survived by his wife, Thip Rawson; children, Kim Rawson Lewis and Glenn Rawson (Haley); Grandchildren, Chase Lewis, John Rawson, and James Rawson; his brother, Tony Rawson (Cynthia); as well as a host of extended family members and friends.

Mr. Rawson is preceded in death by his parents, H.L. Rawson and Jenelle Rawson Russell; and his brother, James Hilton Rawson.

The Rawson Family suggests memorials be made as donations to the Blackwater Baptist Church Cemetery Fund in lieu of flowers.
