Pallbearers: Randy Wall, Don Johnson, Roger Moore, Red Smith, Al Peirce, Barry Smith and Mike Bishop. Granville Ardell Pinson passed away at his home in Newton, MS on his own terms doing what he loved: working in his yard and garden. He joins his parents, Willie and Nettie Pinson, his brothers, W.T., Lavern, Everett, and Dee, his sisters, Verna Mae, Havis, and Ruby, his granddaughter, Celeigh, and his beloved wife, Carolyn, in the afterlife. Ardell had an unrivaled work ethic that could be seen all the way from his beginnings at La-Z-Boy to building his own clothing business in Pinsons Bargain Center. The self-made businessman had a mind that worked on par with a calculator. Not only was it useful for balancing his statements and checking inventory, but it also enabled him to fix nearly anything. Nothing ever needed to be replaced; just repaired. Ardell also insisted on planting his own garden every year, but all that time working in the sun managed to build up a rough exterior. However, the truly tender, compassionate heart of this tough as nails man could quickly be exposed when he was caring for any of his close friends, helping a customer, or seeing to his cats, Ms. Kitty and Mr. Tom. He is survived by his daughter Teresa, his son Scottie, his grandsons, Haden, Mason, and Blake, and his companion Amelia. Papaw, you exemplify the type of husband, father, grandfather, friend, and man I hope to be. By: Haden Andrew Johnson
