Meridian - Joe Allen Stallings, 93, of Meridian, Miss. passed away on Nov. 22, 2022, at Anderson Regional Medical Center.

He was born on June 2, 1929, to Sol and Minervia (Fluker) Stallings in Ward, Ala.

Joe was a member of Central Baptist Church (formerly South Side Baptist Church) in Meridian, Miss. He retired after 42 years as Maintenance Supervisor at Atlas Roofing. He enjoyed God's creation when hunting, fishing and spending time outdoors. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather that enjoyed spending time with his family and sitting in his chair on his front porch.

Joe is survived by, two daughters, Teresa (Bryce) Nester, and Gina (Randy) Hamburg; four grandchildren: Brandon (Elizabeth) Hamburg, Kelli (David) Kirton, Emily Nester, and Abby (Justin) Sollie; four great-grandchildren: Olivia Hamburg, Joshua Hamburg, Jacob Hamburg, and Marley Sollie.

He was preceded in death by father, Sol Stallings, mother, Minervia E. Stallings; wife, Mary Sue Stallings; brother, William David Stallings; four sisters: Verdie Lee Starnes, Velma Marie Stallings, Myrtle Lucille Stallings, and Ruth Christine May.

Private graveside services will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2022, at the Mississippi Veterans Memorial Cemetery, with Rev. Michael May, officiating.

Burial will take place in the Mississippi Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
