Funeral services for John Allen Mitchell, Jr., 76, of Meridian will be Friday, September 29, 2017 at 1 P.M. at Bumpers Funeral Home Chapel in York with Dr. Danny Lanier officiating. Burial will follow in the Boyd Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Mitchell passed away Monday, September 25th at Specialty Hospital of Meridian. He was born April 14, 1941 in Meridian to John Allen Mitchell, Sr. and Lillian Miller Mitchell.

Survivors include his wife Faye Dial Mitchell of Meridian, MS; sons Michael Allen Mitchell (Elizabeth Libby) of Collinsville, MS; William Anthony Mitchell (Tara) of Collinsville, MS; sister Pamela Wooldridge of Siloam, AL; grandchildren Hunter Allen Mitchell, Jacob Seth Mitchell, Shelby Elizabeth Mitchell, and William Luke Mitchell.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Diane Copper and brother Larry Mitchell.

Pallbearers will be Hunter Mitchell, Seth Mitchell, Luke Mitchell, Shawn Larkin, Scott Larkin, Britt Wooldridge, Bernie Mitchell, and Clarke Mitchell.
