Visitation for Mr. John "J.T." Thornhill will be held at Wright's Funeral Home in Quitman on Wednesday, January 12th, 10-11am. Graveside services will be held at Oak Grove Methodist Cemetery in Meridian at 1pm with the Reverend Phillip Dearman officiating.

Mr. Thornhill, 59, passed away on December 29, 2021.

Born in Odessa, Texas, J.T. was raised in Meridian by his dear parents, Jerald and Yvonne Thornhill. He devoted his life to Christ and studied the word of God, even becoming an Ambassador for the Way International for a time. He worked for 20 years as a Flight Simulator Technician and found great joy in his hobbies including tinkering with electronics, playing video games, and reading and watching science fiction and fantasy. He will be immeasurably missed and remembered as a caring and devoted father, husband, son, brother, and friend.

Survivors include his wife, Debra Thornhill of Columbus; daughters, Crystal Thornhill and her husband, Andrew Chandler, of Starkville; and Jessica Thornhill of Columbus; a son, Victor Thornhill of Columbus; mother, Yvonne Thornhill of Meridian; a brother, Gary Thornhill and his wife, Ouida Thornhill, of Meridian; and a sister, Pat Thornhill, of Meridian.
