Graveside services for Johnnie Laverne Melton Green, 85, of York will be Thursday, August 18, 2016 at 10 A.M. at the York City Cemetery with Rev. Leon Ballard officiating.
Mrs. Green passed away Tuesday, August 16th at Sumter Health & Rehabilitation in York. She was a retired receptionist for Hill Hospital and Sumter Health & Rehab.
Survivors include her son Thomas Allen Green, Jr. (Gayle) of York, AL; daughter Deborah Green Williams (Gilbert) of Epes, AL; brother James Buddy Melton of North Little Rock, AR; two grandchildren Allison Blazich (Daniel) and Casey Henley (Chris); great grandchild Leighton Blazich.
She was preceded in death by her parents John Burton Melton and Mary Katheline Cranford Melton and her sister Eloise Thrash.
Pallbearers are Paul William Gordy, Thomas Rigdon, Chad Harrison, Daniel Blazich, Larry Cobb, Johnny Matlock.
