Meridian, MS - Julia Lavern Murray was born on October 22, 1951 in Hazlehurst, MS. "Judy or Julie" as she is affectionately called departed this life on May 19, 2025 at Oschner Rush Health in Meridian, MS at the age of 73. She was the second child of the late Robert Earl Wiley and the late Bertha Lee Cain Wiley. Julia began her education at Damascus School, Parrish School and completed her education at Hazlehurst High School. Julia was united in Holy Matrimony to Mr. Artis Murray Jr., the love of her life on October 21, 1972. To this union 2 kids were born Michael Murray, and Bridgett Murray McClelland (Fred). She was Baptized into the Church of Christ 30 years ago. Julia retired after 21 years of Service with the Navy Exchange stores in Virginia Beach Virginia and Meridian, MS. The most important job she held was taking care of her (two heart beats) grand kids Christian and her name sake Julie. She also served the Church of Christ Faithfully until her health began to decline.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of 52 years, Mr. Artis Murray Jr: Two (2) Children Michael Murray, Bridgett (Fred)McClelland, Meridian, MS, Two (2) Sisters Elaine Washington, Hazlehurst, MS; Connie Jones (Chris), Terry, MS. Two (2) Brothers Sydney Wiley (Nora), Hazlehurst, MS; Melvin Wiley (Jackie), Hazlehurst, MS. Two (2) Grand-Children Christian and Julie Mcclelland.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, One sister, Shirley Wiley and Two Brothers Willie Wiley (Clemanteen) and Hughe Wiley who preceded her in death.

Julia also leaves behind many dear friends, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Julia L. Murray will be held on Wednesday June 4, 2025 at 10 A.M. with Pastor William Carey officiating.

Enterprise funeral home is honored to hold the wake for Julia on June 3, 2025 from 6-7 P.M.
