A Memorial Gathering for Mrs. Mary Metherall Smith will be Friday, February 21, 2025, from 11:30 AM until 12:30 PM in the parlor of Robert Barham Family Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at a later date at East Readfield Cemetery in Readfield, ME. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mrs. Smith, 94, died Monday, February 17, 2025, at Ochsner Rush Medical Center in Meridian, with her loving husband by her side.

Mrs. Mary graduated from Framingham High School, Massachusetts in 1950. She later retired from Hewett-Packard on May 29, 1992. She and her husband attended First Baptist Church of Meridian as long as her health permitted while spending winters in Mississippi.

Mrs. Mary is survived by her husband, Charles A. Smith; her daughter, Beth Roberts; Stepson George Ringer; her grandsons, Aaron Roberts and Andrew Roberts; great-grandsons, Tyler Roberts (Jennifer), Nathan Roberts, and their mother Eileen Roberts; nephews, Brian Taylor (Gail) and Robert Taylor(Teresa), as well as numerous extended family members and friends.

Mrs. Smith is preceded in death by her parents, Allan H. Metherall; her mother; Annie Lewis Metherall; and her sister Doris Taylor.
