Mr. Orvie O.E. "Shag" Shannon, age 74, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at his residence.
Shag was a MHS graduate in 1968. After graduation, he joined the US Amry. Later in life, Shag began working for Chevron Oil and retired after 30+ years. Shag had many hobbies, he especially enjoyed cooking bar-b-que for his friends and family.
Shag Shannon is survived by his son, Danny Shannon; granddaughter, Keifer-Lee Shannon; brother, Butch Shannon (Dianne); nieces, April Luke (Cary), Amber Joiner (Rob), Allison Autry (Rob), and Michelle Vice (Terry), grand nephews and nieces; aunt, Faye Culbertson; special friend, Karen Davis, as well as numerous friends and family.
Shag is preceded in death by his parents, Danny and Dale Shannon.
To honor Shag at his request, there will be no memorial service.
