Rev Lawrence Henry Hill Jr. was born on April 12, 1934, and departed this life on Monday, Aug. 29, 2022, at Anderson Regional Medical Center.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Lawrence Henry Hill Sr. and Mrs. Bessie Hill.
He leaves to cherish his memories, a loving and devoted wife of 35 years, Mrs. Christell Hill; son's: Ronnie Hill, Meridian, Miss., Lawrence Henry Hill III (Isabell) of Red Bank, N.J., Gregory Hill, Meridian, Miss., Frankie Hill, Houston Texas, Freddie Fernando Hill, Sr. Sumter, S.C., Tyrone (Asrian) Hill Huntsille, Ala., and Don Hampton, Meridian, Miss.; daughters: Elaine Pope (Michael), Magee, Miss., Patricia Hill, Gulfport, Miss., Chanda Buckley Hill Platt, Calif., Sheronna Hill, Ga., Laticia (Edward) Ochola, Calif., Christine Payne (David), Leesville, La., Nebrazy (George) Adams, Hoover, Ala., Eloise Hampton, Dayton, Ohio, Delois (Raymond) Drake, Meridian., Mary (Calvin) Moss, Meridian, Bobbie Faye (Chester) Green, Philadelphia, Miss., Jacqueline Hopson, Meridian, Miss., and Dr. Kimberly Clayton, Jacksonville, Fla., and his caretaker, who he loved dearly Phyllis Chapman.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2022, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 1803 10th Ave Meridian, Miss.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday Sept. 6, 2022, 5-6 p.m., at E.E. McDonald Community Chapel. Burial will be in the Mississippi Veterans Memorial Cemetery, in Newton, Miss.
