The Thelma and Bert Gaston family cordially invites friends to partake in commemorating their lives at in interment service at Magnolia Cemetery at 10:30 on Saturday, May 31, 2025. Doug Deweese will be officiating. Thelma and Bert are survived by their four children Al Gaston (Barbara), Jack Gaston (Misty), Jim Gaston (Kim), and Daphne Wassamire (Charlie), eight grandchildren and a great grandson.
Thelma and Bert met at the University of Alabama. After graduating, they moved to Thelma's hometown of Meridian where they raised their family. Business attracted them elsewhere years ago, but their origins have always been in Meridian, where Thelma's family has resided for four generations.
It is fitting that they are returning home to rest.
