Vivian was a dedicated and determined mother, who raised her children as a single mom. She always balanced working and caregiving, and always sacrificed her own wants and needs for those of her children.
She was a proud grandmother of Aubrey Sample, whom she always enjoyed spending time together with, creating arts and crafts, watching children's shows, and teaching her how to play the piano. When Aubrey was little, Vivian enjoyed setting up a "Peppa Pig" themed table and chairs for their craft time together in her home.

She played the piano, sang in the choir, helped in the nursery, and supported the church through a variety of committees and related efforts. She later became a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
Vivian was quick to laugh and had a playful streak. That playfulness was seen in her enthusiasm for the movie Ferris Bueller's Day Off, as well as soap operas and horror movies. She enjoyed holidays and loved decorating for each one, especially Halloween.
She also loved music and playing the piano, which was a major part of her life. She enjoyed many different genres of music including John Denver and The Beach Boys. She enjoyed being outdoors gardening, birdwatching, and drinking her coffee. She was collector of dolls, bird figurines, and puzzles. An avid animal lover, she had a number of dogs and cats throughout her lifetime. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend.
